A bit of a delay for today’s episode. What’s “up”?

We messed up. Well, I(Jody) messed up. The last few weeks have been super crazy at my day job and Gabrielle has been holding down the fort. I cannot thank her enough. She’s been an absolute killer helping me through it all. Rest assured, “Echoes of Pennhurst” is on the way! It is a recap of our trip to the 2026 Pennhurst Paracon.

July was a busy month and we had 3 releases scheduled. Busy is good. The episode itself was delayed long enough(sigh) due to external factors, schedules, etc.. Rather than wait another two weeks to publish this episode, were going to maintain our bi-weekly production schedule, release this episode a day or two late, and in two weeks you’ll get a brand new “Experimental” episode on August 13th. Man, I hate when a schedule doesn’t work out. I take it personally and sincerely apologize to our listeners for dropping the ball.

What I can do is offer small clip of what’s to come for the episode. We found it pretty hilarious and thought we’d give you a little sneak peek.
We ran a little Estes session with myself as the receiver and Gabrielle as the questioner. Gabrielle asks, “Where do you want us to go? Don’t say “up” and I immediately respond with, “Come up.”. It’s followed by laughter form another group member as a reaction and then it gets a little cheeky. The word “up” comes up a lot and at the time we were trying to figure it out, and since then, we think we have.

What is "up"?

By day, Jody is a programmer and entertainment media professional—by night he is an investigator with a curious mind and a healthy dose of skepticism. A lifelong fascination with the unknown eventually turned into action, thanks to a gentle push from his wife, Gabrielle. Together, they now explore all things paranormal through this podcast, sharing personal experiences and connecting with others equally interested by the mysteries that lie beyond, between, or within us. What began with some resistance has evolved into rewarding work, and, admittedly, a bit of an obsession—one that he has fully embraced.
