Halloween Dumb Supper

On Halloween night at "The Church", Gabrielle and Jody record a “dumb supper” ritual. they cast a protective circle, invite ancestors and local land spirits—including an “antlered shadow” figure, and eat in silence, then formally release and close the circle. They note the wind went still during the ritual and returned as they started with dessert. Later they discuss odd bangs in the distance, acorns carpeting the ground, and a strange synchronicity involving a working black lighter found at Jody’s feet after he forgot to bring one. Each invited a grandmother as a protective anchor, with Gabrielle linking her choice to an unexplained cigarette-smoke smell and Jody recalling a vivid dream visit that make him choose his ancestor. They then conduct an Estes session with some interesting responses, but end early when a dark figure approaching turns out to be a person walking up the stream nearby, which Jody calls out in the session.
